Programs For Kids

Money Math

This program is based on my book Lemon & Ice & Everything Nice.   Let me make Math sweet and fun.  Learn how to make change, have sales, count money and more.  Working with money uses a lot of skills and what we know about money can help us with other problems also. Besides everyone loves money!  Grade level appropriate 1st and 2nd grade.

Math Superheroes

Elexus Estimator and Maverick Measurer are two superheroes that love to estimate and measure.  This workshop will teach kids when to estimate and when to measure; how to use Maverick's measuring tools; and how to use some superhero estimating tricks. Finally, they will learn how estimating and measuring can work together to support each other. Can be adapted to be appropriate for grade level 2nd through 5th.

Chinese Holidays

Celebrate the Chinese New Year and learn about China. Learn some Chinese words and have a parade complete with a fierce dragon.  All the children will be given lucky money envelopes and lessons on how to use chopsticks.

The Great Error Treasure Hunt
